One second my album has Koons foil then, suddenly the Koons foil is me.
And this is why we can’t have good things…
I am so sad now… I’ve seen so many negative reactions and all of them for wrong reasons, ignoring that she is actually on the same side, in favor of those they try to overprotect with knives, but they don’t want her to be in their same side, looking always for reasons to push her down.. some others don’t even find excuses and plainly express their hate, and why they hate her? I bet they don’t even know why. That’s sad. And it makes me angry too, every time I see more and more and more hate, raising uncontrollably, like a contagious disease, messing up the minds and hearts, almost like Zombies and nobody knows is even there.. It goes unaware and unpunished. There is a cure, but how could anyone heal if they don’t even know they are ill.
This is not new to me, to us, she kinda provokes the same ‘rage’ with every video of hers. She does it with all the purpose, to make ppl ‘think’, sadly just a bunch of Monsters are the only ones who can’t be turned into ‘Zombies’ (well isn’t that ironic?) cuz we do think, we can see underneath layers and read between lines.
It always makes me sad to see how everybody uses technology and social media to spread the wrong things, to set an example of negativity, bringing the worst things of humanity to the surface, instead of the greatness and the positive things. That’s what she meant to say by resuscitating the Leaders through technology. Oh no for them is “just a game”. Quite literally. Whenever someone wants to bring the good, they kill it. I hate to see this and I often ignore it but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Now every chance I get I speak aloud. We can’t live without people, this World is not meant to be home of one individual, when we speak, we not only do it for ourselves, we do it for the World. What we say and do today is going to reflect in all of us tomorrow. But these.. what are they, humans? o_o (oh they are?) rather choose the bad examples they see, to follow and mimic (didn’t someone say darkness is more tempting?) forgetting about influence and consequences. Everybody says they have a right to say, because it’s “freedom”. Yeah, but freedom comes with responsibility, it’s not selfish, the Sun doesn’t gravitate on us. There are so many ways to ‘see’ things and better ways to express our opinions in public. And if this is what new generations are gonna be, Zombieland? Then I don’t wanna be part of it, I can’t avoid being around others but I can still live in my own fantasy, inside my canvas. Been doing it for a long time anyway. -______-
How fucking sad what’s happening really.
I’m not sure if this man did it for the money, like accepting to hold a sign if anyone told him to do it and paid for it.. or if it’s his own idea, if it was, that’s so cruel.. though I wonder how he saw the music video? Does he have a computer? lol (I guess he probably did it for money) But really? If she did for me what she did for him (If you don’t know, she gave him a rose, gave him some money through her bodyguard when she left for food (enough for a few of days) and took a picture with him, and she didn’t cared when he told her he smelled bad, saying “Don’t worry, I smell too”, that’s a very kind gesture no matter who she is) and to be honest, even if I didn’t knew her or how famous she really was, if i didn’t watch her interviews or listened to what she said, went to a show or listened her music, If she was that kind to me, I would rather not eat another day than betray such a kind, honest, loving heart who helped me in a moment of need and showed me some love without asking anything in return… I just wonder how.. hopeless.. must this man be, to destroy something so pure.. like if he thought that wasn’t real, like if the World was always cruel anyway and nothing really matters.
I’m often disappointed of people and things in this World too, but I see the light in people like Gaga. At least she cares for the good important things, things that seems to be lost nowadays. What this man did it’s just so fucking sad in many levels. There is no words to express how disappointed I am on this.

My most favorite scene from G.U.Y,
BLESS YOU FOR MAKING THIS ART PIECE <3 SO GORGEOUS!
Lady Gaga G.U.Y. - An ARTPOP Film.
At first you can’t think about anything but how amusing and crazy everything is, while I tried to focus on the message I caught myself in the middle of a crisis, laughing so much at everything, it’s like a surreal dream that is so fucked up and twisted that you wake up a little confused and laughing while you tell others how weird everything was. LOL Well the funny thing about Lady Gaga is that she always surprises and she always says so many things, while it looks like she’s not saying much. Or when you think you know what it is about, it’s not that simple.
I really love her Music Videos because she always leaves me thinking after I watch them, and she makes me wonder so many things, even things about myself. I go into a journey where I find opposite feelings, like going from sadness to explosive joy or experimenting pain and suddenly happiness (and even laugh loudly). There is just so much energy and that energy comes across everything she does, when she performs or sings or dances. So i’m there watching this video, I realize it’s a serious subject, when I see the intro, but then I can’t help but laugh as the video continues, from ARTPOP song to Venus.. Andy Cohen in the sky was one of the most hilarious things there lmao I was losing myself at this point.. laughing hysterically. In my mind I knew what was happening, or what it was really about, but I made my serious thoughts aside for a second and let my body feel the moment, to experiment the excitement, surprise, joy, confusion lol excitement again, the blush in my cheeks at the sexy choreo (damn!) and so on.. this is why I love Music. And why I love Lady Gaga, it’s so damn entertaining to watch her and her creations. As an arts lover I couldn’t ask for more.
But after the amusement comes the seriousness lol after some hours (yes, it took me a while to calm the fuck down the feelings) i’ve been thinking now about the underneath layers, the messages. And it’s really genius, it’s all a critic about the celebrity and media culture, the Corporations having the power to rule and to have the final word. To control what we see, and the way we think. A World that’s only ruled by money. When talents, skills and creativity are handled by the ‘business’. Dictating the image and lives of the new pop cultural icons. Who they choose them to be and how. She show us the major opposition of ‘fake’ icons, which are those who are famous for no particular reason, just because of Reality shows on TV and those who are considered ‘real’ Icons, people with strong personalities, those who have the ‘power’ to influence the masses and change the World. Like Jesus Christ is the biggest example of the religious icon, and it’s been for centuries all over the World for Christians and Catholics. You have also Gandhi, a spiritual leader and the biggest Icon of ‘Peace’. And Michael Jackson who you would say has nothing to do with the previous, is still one of the greatest and more significant Icons, the ‘King of Pop’. A pop cultural icon in the Music. (Or John Lennon, same thing). And ‘cloning’ these Icons just shows that she is trying to incorporate their positive and genuine intentions back to the World. People who is no longer here but changed the World and still continue to influence it. She wants to change Culture (Pop Culture). In a more positive, loving, peaceful & kind way. A World full of people who cares about the important things, like Arts, creativity, talents, skills, respect, tolerance, love, brotherhood, bravery, kindness, human rights, peace, inspiration, etc. instead of corruption, hate and all those dreadful, negative & destructive things we see and live today. Which is very sad tbfh. There she is also clearly showing the oppositeness (visually) of Art (Fine Arts) and Pop (Music/Culture) and how you can bring them (differences) together.. as one.. ARTPOP.
The whole introduction and everything that’s happening through this video I see it like a big metaphor of her life, about pain and rebirth, Art and Pop, the Music Industry and her own creative freedom. I really liked that. The intro scene with the fallen angel is quite powerful indeed. It’s meaningful. I love things that have the power to leave me thinking, to decipher meanings that are not very easy to understand. Creativity and Art are very abstract, it could mean anything, it’s true.
I remember so many quotes of her that would fit perfectly in the main idea of this video, just to explain what it is all about, but there is one that i’d like to share, this one about the intro scene in her own words:
"Art was -and still is- the thing that drives me, you know? Pop is sort of my medium, the medium that I’m good at. But Art was always the thing that drove me forward in these challenging and painful circumstances. I would always have the wings of high Art kind of flying high above my back, lifting me up, and I could feel no pain, because I could feel the adrenaline of the future, of my artistic experience, and that was more important." - Lady Gaga.
And about Money VS. her Artistic Freedom:
"Celebrity life and media culture are probably the most overbearing pop-cultural conditions that we as young people have to deal with, because it forces us to judge ourselves." - Lady Gaga.
“When I was younger, I felt pressure to become someone else once I became successful.” - Lady Gaga.
"You start to become successful, and everybody starts to drive your money train to the bank, and they’re not thinking anymore about what you want as an artist or if any of that even matters to you. It genuinely upsets people in my life that I don’t care about money, and that’s not my problem." - Lady Gaga.
"What means something to me is my music. I don’t want to make money; I want to make a difference." - Lady Gaga.
"I’m confident in who I am. I’ve come to a place in my life where I’ve accepted things that are me, as opposed to feeling pressure to explain myself to people around me. That’s just the way I’ve always tried to be. It didn’t change when I became a star." - Lady Gaga.
I like to be able to understand Art and other artists, or simply understand other people, firstly, because I enjoy it, I love mysteries and deciphering things, but also because maybe understanding more of that helps me to become a good artist myself. And also a better person. I believe we (no matter if you are artist or not) need to be constantly inspired and intrigued. Constantly learning about things and improving ourselves, and so eventually, we Evolve. Bringing ourselves back from the ashes, like a Phoenix, over and over again. Erasing, editing and constructing back our lives. It doesn’t happen just once, it’s often. We must be used to ‘changes’. Unafraid to be reborn as many times as it’s necessary, in pro of our minds & hearts, our creativity and our artistic freedom. And we need to be loyal to ourselves, more than we are to other people sometimes, people with high expectations and high interests towards you or your work, and that doesn’t mean we are ‘selfish’ or ‘pretentious’, it just means that we love and respect ourselves very deeply, but just enough for it to be the right thing to do, to ultimately feel good about ourselves and what we choose to do for the rest of our lives. That is the ultimate Happiness.
There is just so much going on in this video lol not gonna go further into the G.U.Y. lyrics, that’s another essay xD but it all comes down to the same, I mean, she’s breaking free (in some ways), it’s about liberation, freedom, confidence and self-love, acceptance and Love in the rawest form.. well yeah, the lyrics are all ‘sex’ in context, but is about love after all LOL. Or, it’s about the empowering of the ‘weaker’ sex, aka women.. or in another sense, the ‘Artist’ versus the Corporation, regaining the ‘power’ or full control of themselves and their artistic freedom, their minds, bodies-images, ideas, creations, etc.
The whole Metaphor -if it helps- can be resumed like this: (In my own words) In the introduction scene, we see her pain, when she is beaten and defeated after those rich men came through and took all the money they wanted from her, profiting through her, just like that arrow, causing her horrible pain & almost ‘death’. What I see, in my interpretation, is that ‘Art’ (the wings of art) is what drove her to the gates of Heaven (her Heaven being what saved her soul), the Castle, somehow representing the Kingdom of Monsters (or this sort of Heaven of hers) and is in there when ‘we’, the little monsters took her, we gave her our love and deep appreciation, we recognized her as our Goddess of Love, cleaned her wounds and symbolically baptized her (when she is reborn as the Venus in her full Glory, with recovered strength), once she is back, later on, she goes over the rich men building to ‘revenge’, more like retake her position or regain the control of herself & her artistic freedom (her mind, body-image, ideas, creations, etc.) “an age where art drives pop, and the artist once again is in control of the icon”. And so she kills the bunch of swines. lol She is just saying here the same ideas so many of us figured out since the first ARTPOP promo release. This concept that she wants to change the World to be a better place, a “new age Renaissance”, the rebirth or change of a culture (pop culture). And i guess ‘Minecraft’ was like saying “through technology and social media” we can bring all those ‘good positive intentions, or the positive mentality’ (also about creativity, talents, skills, etc.) -of the True Cultural Icons- back to life, to the World. To our present World. And set the pattern for future generations to come.
